Welcome to our School

Dear El Dorado Families,

 Welcome to El Dorado!

We are looking forward to many new learning experiences with your children.  We at El Dorado believe we have to work as a team with our community, families, and students to ensure that we have provided our students with the highest quality educational program. We invite you to join our: PTA, School Advisory Committee, English Language Advisory Committee, School Site Council, after school tutoring program, parent-teacher conferences, and in-classroom volunteering.   Your participation is needed and valued! If you are interested in volunteering please complete and return our parents volunteer survey that will be going home with your child the first week of school.

We believe that we need you in order to be successful with all of our students. Our goal is to provide El Dorado students with the opportunity to reach their academic achievement goals.  All students from kindergarten through eighth grade will have up to 90-minutes in language arts daily and for those who require intensive support in ELA up 150 minutes. Math instructional minutes will be based on individual student needs and will be up to 80minutes per day. In addition, we offer enrichment activities for our advanced learners. It is our commitment to protect your child’s learning time from any interruptions so we can make every minute count for each of our students. We will not have morning assemblies or classroom pullouts for any non-emergent reasons. We ask that you support this time by ensuring that your child is at school every morning on time.

Our school hours for students are from 9:05 am - 3:05 pm.  The school office hours are from 8:15 am - 4:15 pm.  The students may enter the campus no earlier than 8:30 am.  If your child is eating breakfast at school they will need to arrive by 8:50 am.   We will start our closed campus policy after the first day of school.  Student safety and the opportunity for quality instruction is the highest priority for our school community.

We are committed to maintain an open line of communication with families, please call your child’s teacher, school counselor, office staff, and/or administration any time you have any questions or concerns at 933-7175.

For the safety of our students and staff we are adhering to a closed campus throughout the school day.  All visitors will be required to sign in at the office and be cleared by an administrator before entering the campus
